Quite simply, a domain is your address in the vastness of Internet locations. That address is not important to computers at all, but it is to us humans. Computers see it like this:
And they are perfectly fast, computers I mean.
While we humans wouldn't really bother with that mass of numbers. Therefore, we register a domain that the browser directs to the IP address of the computer where our hosting package is located.
For example:
https://yourdomain.com -->> 192.729.999.5
An address without hosting does not even have any function in practice, except that you have it, that's it. If you only have a domain and no hosting, it's like having a house number in an empty meadow (Like some of our ministers). In order for the domain to make sense, you need a hosting package on which you can start creating a website by installing some scripts or whatever.
Put your picture in swimming trunks as Njonjo for the whole world to see in FHD format.
Therefore, a couple of suggestions:
- The domain name should be as short as possible
Avoid a multi-word domain name unless absolutely necessary
As a rule, the domain should be related to the topic of your website, blog or business entity
